Livadi beach
The largest organised beach in Astypalaia, with easy access and stunning views of Chora and the castle. It offers sunbeds, ample free space with trees for shade, as well as beach bars, cafés, and tavernas. You can also reach it on foot from Chora.
Schinontas beach
A sandy beach in a small bay, organised with sunbeds and food outlets. It has easy access, shallow, clean waters, making it a great choice for families with young children and those seeking comfort.
Steno beach
Located on the narrow strip of land that divides Astypalaia into two parts, this sandy and shallow beach is close to Chora. It is easily accessible via a paved road and offers sunbeds, a beach bar, and natural shade from tamarisk trees.
Kaminakia
One of the most beautiful beaches in Astypalaia, with blue waters, pebbles, and a rocky backdrop. There is a taverna and sunbeds, as well as natural shade. Access is challenging, with a 5-6 km dirt road, with the final stretch being even rougher.
Vatses beach
A gorgeous beach with deep, clear waters and wild beauty. Access is via a navigable dirt road, and there is a beach bar offering sunbeds on part of the beach. The rest of the area has natural shade from large tamarisk trees.
Agios Konstantinos beach
Close to Chora, this beach offers stunning views of the castle. The waters are crystal-clear with pebbles on the shore and sand in the sea. Access is via an easy dirt road, and the beach is partially organised with a beach bar and a taverna. The chapel of Agios Konstantinos overlooks the beach.
Koutsomyti beach
Located on the islet of Koutsomyti, this beach has an exotic feel. The water is a striking blue, perfect for swimming. The beach is small with no signs of human activity or shade. Access is only by boat from Chora.
Kounoupa beach
Found on another islet, Kounoupa beach features a “double” beach with sea on both sides of the narrow strip of land. A beach bar offers basic amenities, but there is no shade. Access is only by boat.

Plakes beach
A small cove with pristine, cool waters and pebbles, or the characteristic rocky slabs shaped by the waves along the shore. It is not organised, and you need to descend via a small path. It is sheltered from the wind but not from the sun, and offers a rich underwater experience for snorkelers.
